Interviewed by KALTBLUT Magazine (GER)
Interviewed by KALTBLUT Magazine (Germany) "Natural and Beautiful! Sophirat is a talented art-nude photographer from Thailand. She started as a self-taught freelancer in 2007 and has come a long way, participating in prestigious exhibitions and work-shops. She hopes to open people’s minds and make them reject stereotypes. In a conservative society, she challenges what is viewed as normal and right by often including bdsm inspiration in her work.
KALTBLUT: So how did you get interested in photography in the first place?
Sophirat: I started as a model for photo-shootings a couple of years ago and then I got interested in showing my own vision to the others. I loved shooting self-portraits at first and learned how to shoot others afterwards.
KALTBLUT: What kind of things inspire you?
Sophirat: I mostly get inspired by myself and sometimes when I see a location or meet new people. The images come to my head like a flash light , I try to recognize the detail as much as I can then I make it true. I love shooting with my imagination.
KALTBLUT: You use nude a lot. What does nudity mean to you?
Sophirat: For me nudity means being part of the natural world, freedom and reality . I also think that a human’s skin is the most beautiful thing in the world.
KALTBLUT: And what are your plans for the future?
Sophirat: I want to have my own gallery for showing my own & my friends’ work or I may fly to London to study fine art photography." (c) http://www.kaltblut-magazine.com/sophirat/
